WATCHMAKING SCHOOLS IN FRANCE

Watchmaking and its schools have always been present in France. It was in fact largely present in France before being present in Switzerland. Many of the first watchmakers in Switzerland were Huguenots fleeing France.

Many famous watchmakers of the past and present are also French. Because of its historical past, France has always kept an important network of watchmaking schools on its territory.
