There are automatic systems that wind either in one direction of movement of the oscillating weight or in both directions.
To do this, the automatic system needs two inverters, if it is a bidirectional winding, or one inverter if it is a unidirectional winding.
The advantage of two-way is that it goes up in both directions. The advantage of one-way is that it has a smaller blind spot.
The general evolution of the industry shows that the bi-directional system, despite higher blind spots, would be more efficient.
