LOUIS COTTIER

Louis Cottier is a watchmaker born in Carouge in 1894 and died in the same city in 1966. He is at the origin of several watchmaking inventions, including the Worldtime. He was the curator of the private collection of Hans Wilsdorf. Some of his creations were marketed by brands like Patek Philippe, Rolex or Vacheron Constantin. More recently, the Urwerk brand was inspired by a Louis Cottier model for a new model. Louis Cottier has a park in his name in Carouge near Geneva.
