HOROPEDIA became a foundation of public interest.
The new status enters into force as of March 21, 2023.
This significant milestone in the history of the Horopedia Foundation underlines the importance of its endeavors in the preservation and transmission of horological know-how and culture. It outlines the independent and non-profit character of its core project, devoted to cultural and educational causes.
“This is a highly appreciated recognition of our continuous efforts to be at the service of the whole horological ecosystem. This project was created for educational purposes, inclusive and independent, useful for anybody interested in watchmaking. The philosophy behind Horopedia is to cover all topics with integrity and neutrality, as a legacy and transmission of all the knowledge. This was the initial motivation of the founders of the Fondation“, says Marc André Deschoux, founder of the Horopedia Foundation.
The purpose of the Horopedia Foundation is to pursue objectives of public interest, in Switzerland and abroad, through the collection of extensive knowledge on watchmaking art and culture and sharing it on its multilingual website in order to contribute to the long-term success and visibility of the watch industry.
