The term “baguette” generally refers to a long, narrow rod. In watchmaking, it most commonly refers to the pallet fork’s shank, which connects the fork to the arms of the lever. In jewellery, “baguette” refers to a rectangular gemstone cut, particularly appreciated for setting bezels and dials.
