SHUTTLE

Shuttle is a cam that has appeared on some chronographs since the middle of the 20th century. This cam is set in motion when the pushers are manipulated to coordinate the different levers and perform the starts, stops and resets.

The shuttle is easier to produce than a column wheel, its attractiveness is lower with a good number of collectors but it also allows to make chronographs financially more accessible. A good number of chronographs are today equipped with shuttles.
