CYLINDRICAL PIVOTS

Cylindrical pivots have a right angle at their base. A large part of the pivots present in a watch are cylindrical. As a rule, pivots with a diameter greater than 0.15 mm are cylindrical. Thanks to their straight bearing surface, the endshake is between two stones or two bearings. Pivots with a diameter of less than 0.15 mm are generally conical pivots which work a little differently.
