ENGRAVING BALL VICE

Burnishing consists of polishing a surface while simultaneously work-hardening it (through compression and surface hardening). This is done using a burnisher. It is the operation traditionally used to finish the pivots of moving parts. When referring specifically to pivots, the process is also known as pivot burnishing or pivot rolling.
