ENTRY PALLET

In a Swiss lever escapement, this refers to the shorter arm of the lever and its pallet jewel. It is the first pallet that a tooth of the escape wheel meets according to its direction of rotation. By contrast, the second pallet encountered by the escape wheel is called the exit pallet.
