STAR WHEEL

In watchmaking, a star wheel is a solid wheel with triangular-shaped teeth, into the notches of which a jumper rests. They are mainly used to display step-by-step information (such as day stars, month stars, etc.) and generally directly carry the hand indicating the information. The star wheel is most often driven by a finger mounted on the preceding moving part (driver).
