Founded in 1824, it is the oldest Swiss watchmaking school. It was first run by the city of Geneva and then by the canton of Geneva. For many years, it also administered the award of the Geneva Hallmark.

New Chapter

At the end of 2023, the Geneva Watchmaking School opened a new chapter by relocating to Plan-les-Ouates — at the very heart of Geneva’s watchmaking industry. This move made it possible to expand the premises, increase the number of apprenticeship places, and offer students a modern learning environment. By being directly integrated into a dynamic watchmaking hub, the school now provides its students with greater opportunities to immerse themselves in the professional world and gain hands-on experience in close proximity to the industry.

ALUMNI
