A COLLABORATION TO SHAPE THE FUTURE OF WATCHMAKING MUSEUM EXPERIENCES
The Horopedia Foundation is partnering with Immensive to develop the digital and interactive systems for the future Maison des Arts & de la Culture Horlogère (MACH). This collaboration will be presented at the LAB during Watches & Wonders Geneva 2026, where a prototype of an interactive display showcase will be unveiled as a preview.
Led by the Horopedia Foundation, the Maison des Arts & de la Culture Horlogère (MACH) is a future museum space located in the heart of Geneva, dedicated to the transmission and promotion of watchmaking culture. In this context, the Foundation has commissioned Immensive, a Lausanne-based agency specialising in innovative touchscreen applications and digital solutions, to design the interactive systems that will accompany the displayed objects and enhance the visitor experience.
The objective is to offer an immersive experience and a new way of discovering watchmaking. Among the solutions developed are innovative interactive display showcases, designed to present watchmaking objects while providing access, via touchscreens, to educational and explanatory content. Visitors will be able to explore the details of a piece, view animations, observe the precise gestures of craftsmen, and deepen their understanding of watchmaking mechanisms in an intuitive and engaging way.
This approach will be presented for the first time at Watches & Wonders Geneva 2026, within the LAB, the exhibition space dedicated to innovations and technologies shaping the future of watchmaking. Horopedia and Immensive will unveil a prototype of an intelligent interactive display showcase, combining light, movement and storytelling to create a dialogue between the watch object and the visitor.
Join Horopedia and Immensive at the LAB at Palexpo, from 14 to 20 April 2026, to discover this innovative demonstration in preview. Visitors will be able to explore the content freely, at their own pace, and experience how technology, emotion and watchmaking expertise can come together to renew the way watchmaking is presented and shared.
Alongside the event, it will also be possible to meet the Horopedia Foundation team at its headquarters in Geneva (Rue de la Tertasse 1), to discuss its initiatives and learn more about the Maison des Arts & de la Culture Horlogère project.

ABOUT HOROPEDIA
Horopedia Foundation was established in February 2023 and given the status of public interest. The Foundation Council is composed of Philippe Dufour (President), Dr. Helmut Crott, André Colard, and Marc André Deschoux.
The Foundation governs Horopedia.org, the first online video encyclopedia on watchmaking. The platform was launched in 2022 and quickly gathered unanimous support within the community.
To date, over 100 multilingual documentary films on museums, watchmaking schools, watch tools and components, and the mechanical principles behind their work can be found on Horopedia.org. To enhance its educational mission, the platform also incorporates visual pedagogic materials to facilitate a better understanding of the provided information. The website features nearly 1000 pages with detailed definitions of watchmaking terms and historical anecdotes about significant horological inventions.
Horopedia.org meticulously covers all facets of the fascinating horological industry in French, English, and German. It offers detailed definitions of tools and complications, 3D images of movements, and thorough video explanations of component production, their history, and functions in a watch. A dedicated section of the website lists horological institutions, including schools and museums in Switzerland and worldwide.
More recently, the Foundation unveiled its ambitious project: the Maison des Arts & de la Culture Horlogère (MACH). More than just a museum, the MACH will be a dynamic venue for exhibitions, knowledge-sharing and dialogue around the art of watchmaking. Located in the heart of the Quartier des Banques, this 1,250 m² house will span four floors, offering didactic, thematic and chronological exhibitions, complemented by a space dedicated to temporary exhibitions. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a boutique, an auditorium and a variety of interactive areas designed to spark curiosity and encourage discovery. Open and vibrant, the MACH is intended to become the crossroads of watchmaking in Geneva.
