TIME ZONES
The planet is divided into 24 time zones. This is so that the average solar time of each time zone is in accordance with the true solar time. When we travel east we move our watch forward and when we travel west we move our watch backwards. Normally the difference between the time zones is always one full hour, so the minute remains the same. There are however some rare exceptions where the difference is 30 minutes and sometimes even 45 minutes. It also happens that some countries decide to change their time zone.
MULTIPLE TIME ZONE
This additional hand is very often on 24h or on 12h but with a day and night display. There were sometimes some watches with double time zone on 12 o’clock but their production remained confidential because there could be confusion between the hours of the day and the night.
UNIVERSAL TIME
This system joins a specific display on a bezel at the level of the dial or the watch case of the watch to a specific mechanism which can make the whole move of a twenty-fourth of turn by pressure on a pusher or simply by adjusting the bezel.
