DAILY RATE
Measurement of the daily rate on a timegrapher (+10.7 s/day)
The daily rate is the daily deviation, expressed in seconds per day, between the time indicated by a watch and the reference time. It is a fundamental criterion in many chronometric test procedures. The measurement of a watch’s rate (instantaneous or defined) is generally carried out by acoustic detection (timegrapher), and more rarely by optical detection.
