Horopedia officially announces the creation of the Watchmaking & Cultural Committee (CHC), an independent advisory body strengthening the Foundation’s governance.

The public has been won over by the unprecedented horological museum experience created by Horopedia and Immensive.

The Horopedia Foundation is partnering with the company Immensive to develop the digital and interactive installations for the future Maison des Arts & de la Culture Horlogère (MACH).

Horopedia is enriching its online encyclopedia with a new video entirely produced in 3D animation, dedicated to the counting and transmission mechanism (finishing train).

Marc André Deschoux, director of the Horopedia Foundation, will chair the jury of this new competition dedicated to young watchmakers.

Two new films are now available: a technical film on the industrial manufacturing of the mainspring and an institutional film dedicated to the Geneva Seal. The pages on the Swiss lever escapement and the regulating organ (balance-spring) have also been completed.

The Horopedia Foundation celebrates three years of existence, knowledge-sharing, education and commitment to watchmaking culture.

A new section dedicated to professional testimonials is launched on the Horopedia encyclopedia, while a brand-new 3D animated video helps deepen understanding of basic mechanical principles.

Horopedia has published a tutorial video to guide visitors through the discovery of its encyclopedia.

Horopedia is stepping up its efforts by joining forces with the Swiss watchmaking schools to develop new educational content, support training and promote watchmaking culture to a wider audience.
